Job Description:

Mircom is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Installation Technician / Foreman to lead and execute the installation, configuration, and commissioning of our fire alarm systems. This role is key in delivering top-tier service and technical excellence on-site while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise installation crews on fire alarm system projects.
  • Install, program, and test fire alarm systems in commercial, industrial, and residential environments.
  • Ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, local codes, and Mircom product standards.
  • Coordinate daily activities with project managers, general contractors, and clients.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues effectively.
  • Perform site inspections and final testing for system commissioning.
  • Document all work performed, including material use and changes to plans.
  • Ensure site safety and adherence to OSHA and company policies.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience installing fire alarm systems.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, and local building/fire codes.
  • Experience with Mircom and/or other fire alarm manufacturers (e.g., Notifier, Siemens, EST, Simplex).
  • NICET Level I or II certification strongly preferred.
  • Strong ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, use ladders, and work in various job site conditions.
