Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Install Technician to independently perform core installation tasks for fire alarm systems. You will read blueprints, install per plans, and test systems at various sites, ensuring safety and code compliance.

The role requires 3+ years in the fire and life safety industry, the ability to work without direct supervision, and valid driver’s license. NICET Level I+ is preferred; travel to job sites is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years in fire and life safety industry as apprentice or technician.
• Ability to work independently on standard installation jobs.
• NICET Level I or above preferred

Responsibilities

• Independently install fire alarm systems per plans, specs, and codes.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Perform system testing and basic troubleshooting.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete installations.
• Coordinate with team members, contractors and stakeholders as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
• Travel to job sites as required
