Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring an Install Technician to support the installation of electronic systems for related product lines. You will assist the responsible person from start-up through final testing, following plans and specifications on construction sites.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of fire alarm or security system experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license. The role involves physical labor, climbing, lifting up to 70 lbs, and possible weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Fire Alarm and/or Security System experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Follow verbal and written instructions; read complex construction blueprints and specs.
• Construction experience required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Drug screen and background check completed.
• Capable of carrying/moving equipment up to 50–70 lbs.
• Able to work in ladders, scaffolding, and high lift positions up to 40 ft.
• Demonstrate strong customer service.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of electronic systems from start-up through final testing.
• Read and follow complex blueprints, diagrams and specifications.
• Carry and move equipment and tools up to 50–70 lbs.
• Work in positions such as ladders, scaffolding, and high lifts up to 40 feet.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and disposal of trash.
• Wear safety equipment and may work alternating shifts or weekends.
• Submit required paperwork daily.
