Job summary

gpac is seeking a Low Voltage Inspector / Service Technician to inspect, test, service, and maintain fire alarm systems. The role emphasizes compliance with NFPA standards, troubleshooting and documenting findings for customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities include coordinating with managers, maintaining equipment, and providing after-hours support when required. A valid driver’s license and NICET certification are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is preferred.
• Experience inspecting and servicing low-voltage fire alarm systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 72 and local fire codes.
• NICET level I or higher is required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems per NFPA standards and codes.
• Conduct service and repair work, troubleshoot faults, and replace defective components.
• Document findings, inspections, and test results clearly and timely.
• Communicate results and recommended repairs to customers and internal teams.
• Coordinate inspections with service managers, project teams, and customers.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in good condition.
• Follow safety policies and perform after-hours work as needed.
• Provide basic customer training on system operation when required.
