Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an Inspector to conduct routine inspections, testing, service and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines and related equipment.

The role requires 1 year of installation/service experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with little supervision. Applicants should be able to lift 70 lbs, follow safety policies, and adapt to varied shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Installation or Service Experience in testing and inspecting Fire Alarm Equipment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and perform physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect fire alarm systems with existing and new customer base.
• Maintain proper documentation for work performed using tools provided.
• Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs.
• Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions; such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
• Must be able to work alternating shifts or weekends to meet customer needs.
• Perform all duties in a safe and professional manner and maintain a clean work area.
