Job summary
Johnson Controls is seeking an Inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, service and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines and related systems. You will work with low voltage wiring and document inspections using laptops or mobile devices.
Ideal candidates have 2+ years of installation or service experience in testing and inspecting fire alarm equipment, the ability to lift 50-70 lbs, travel as needed, and a strong commitment to
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Installation or Service Experience in testing and inspecting Fire Alarm Equipment.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Capable of performing physical labor including lifting 50-70 lbs.
- Willing to travel and work weekends when required.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, test and service Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines.
- Complete service acknowledgements with proper coding via laptop or paper.
- Maintain structured inspection schedules and input documents on mobile devices.
- Perform minor repairs and programming changes on systems being inspected.
- Provide training to less senior inspectors and trainees.
