Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an entry-level Fire Alarm Inspector I apprentice to learn and assist with fire protection systems, including suppression, detection, and alarm systems.

You will work under experienced inspectors to gain hands-on experience while adhering to safety and compliance standards. Responsibilities include assisting with installation, testing, and maintenance, documenting results, and participating in training to build foundational knowledge of system components and operations.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED and 1+ years of relevant experience.
• NICET Level I certification or plan to obtain within 90 days.
• Strong attention to detail and professional work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire protection systems.
• Shadow experienced technicians during site visits to observe industry practices.
• Participate in training sessions to learn fire protection components, technologies, and procedures.
• Perform routine inspections and testing of fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
• Document inspections, maintenance activities, test results, and repairs.
