Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Fire Alarm Apprentice to assist in installing Life Safety equipment in accordance with plans and standards. This role involves hands-on wiring, mounting controls, testing systems, and ensuring compliance with codes.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass background checks and drug tests. The position may require overtime, night or weekend work, and flexibility in working outdoors across sites.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
Must pass background check and drug test.
Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
Overtime may be required, including nights/weekends.
Possession of reliable transportation.
Experience or willingness to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring and related components according to plans.
Install and mount electronic controls, panels, sensors, and devices.
Perform interlock wiring as required.
Test systems and circuits, inspect sites, and determine materials needed.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems and correct issues.
Read contract drawings.
Troubleshoot EMS systems, smart breakers, and relays.
