Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Fire Alarm Inspector to provide inspection and maintenance capabilities. This position will work closely with our sales team, field project teams, and clients to ensure our customers’ systems are inspected and maintained in a code-compliant manner.

This role requires 1–3 years of inspector technician experience, NICET Level I, knowledge of NFPA 72 and IFC, ability to read drawings, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience as an inspector technician in fire detection/protection.
• Knowledge of fire alarm and clean agent/special hazard fire suppression systems.
• NICET Level I.
• Intermediate knowledge of NFPA 72 and IFC code or state-adopted fire codes.
• Able to read technical drawings/diagrams and follow specifications.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 25–50 pounds and working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Review system layouts and coordinate with systems and service departments for testing and inspection.
• Produce field surveys and daily project logs.
• Inspect and maintain fire alarm systems.
• Produce inspection and deficiency reports per NFPA.
• Deliver and test on schedule and within budget.
• Log and transmit inspection reports via devices.
• Oversee project inventory and vehicle inventory.
• Work under tight deadlines and provide guidance to other inspectors.
• Manage job scheduling and progress with focus on quality.
• Comply with industry standards and Sciens safety policies.
