Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Fire Alarm Inspector to provide inspection and maintenance services across Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia. You will work with sales, field project teams, and clients to ensure code-compliant systems are tested and maintained.

You will review layouts, produce field surveys and logs, inspect fire alarm systems, and generate detailed NFPA-compliant reports on schedule and within budget. A valid driver’s license and NICET Level I are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• NICET Level I preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 and fire code requirements.
• Ability to read technical drawings/diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Review system layouts and coordinate with systems and service departments for testing and inspection.
• Produce field surveys and daily project logs of activity.
• Inspect and maintain fire alarm systems.
• Produce detailed inspection and deficiency reports per NFPA.
• Deliver and test on schedule and within budgets.
• Log and transmit inspection reports via technical devices.
• Oversee project inventory and vehicle inventory.
• Work under tight deadlines.
• Provide support to other inspectors.
• Manage scheduling and progress with focus on quality.
• Comply with industry standards and Sciens safety policies.
