Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Fire Alarm Inspector to perform inspection and maintenance across Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia. You will review layouts, test and inspect systems, and generate detailed reports ensuring code compliance.

The role requires 1–3 years in fire detection/protection inspection, NICET I, NFPA 72/IFC knowledge, and a valid driver’s license. Compensation is hourly with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of inspector technician experience in fire detection/protection.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 and IFC code requirements.
• Ability to read technical drawings/diagrams and follow specifications.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Review system layouts and coordinate with systems and service departments for testing and inspection.
• Produce field surveys and daily project logs of activity.
• Inspect and maintain fire alarm systems.
• Produce detailed inspection and deficiency reports in accordance with NFPA.
• Deliver and test on schedule and within cost budgets.
• Log and transmit inspection reports via technical devices.
• Oversee project inventory and vehicle inventory.
• Manage scheduling and progress efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Comply with safety standards and Sciens policies.
