Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a field technician to test and inspect fire alarm systems across a diverse customer base in the United States. You will document work, follow safety policies, and operate safely while handling equipment up to 70lbs.

Ability to work flexible shifts and travel as needed is required. The role emphasizes manual labor, strong teamwork, and adherence to procedures to ensure reliable fire protection for customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Installation or Service Experience in testing and inspecting Fire Alarm Equipment preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.
• Ability to perform physical labor and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect fire alarm systems with existing and new customer base.
• Maintain proper documentation for work performed using tools provided.
• Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs.
• Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions; such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
• Must be able to work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer needs.
• Must perform all duties in a safe and professional manner & maintain a clean and safe work area.

What we look for

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $18-$22 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience,knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with marketdata.)
