Job Summary:

The Fire Alarm Systems Technician Level 2 will be responsible for the installation, repair, inspection, and servicing of fire alarm systems and other life safety devices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform tests and inspections on a variety of fire alarm and fire suppression systems
• Perform required preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems
• Work directly with customers to resolve their problems
• Complete reports to comply with NFPA standards
• Provide quotations to resolve deficiencies
• Perform 24-hour emergency on-call duties (one week per rotation)
• Obtain NICET certifications, multi-state certifications, and CDL (Class-C w/hazardous endorsement)

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience with fire alarm systems
• NICET certification is a plus
• Proficient in troubleshooting hardware from blueprints and wiring schematics
• Strong communication skills
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Team player
• Customer service experience
• Availability for overtime
• Ability to adapt to change quickly
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

• Work at customer sites in various conditions
• Lift over 50 pounds and maneuver heavy cylinders
• Climb ladders and work at heights
• Use safety gear as required
• Overnight travel may be necessary
