Qualifications

Job description

Job Responsibilities

As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for the service, testing, and installation of fire alarm systems and devices.

Additional responsibilities of the Fire Alarm Technician include:

  1. Install and basic programming of fire alarm systems and devices
  2. Running cable and bending conduit
  3. Working knowledge of low voltage electrical systems
  4. Customer service, coordination, and communication
  5. Technical fire protection system project and administrative support
  6. Ability to work independently or supervise others as required
  7. Solid troubleshooting skills

Job Requirements

To qualify for the Fire Alarm Technician position, you must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working with fire alarm systems.

Additional requirements of the Fire Alarm Technician position include:

  1. NICET Certification Fire Alarm Level 2 or higher preferred
  2. Proficiency with computer skills, MS Excel, Email
  3. Strong customer service skills and communications
  4. Familiarity with NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) and local codes
