Job summary

ORR Protection, a national leader in fire and life safety, seeks a Field Service Technician - Apprentice. This remote role supports installs and service from your home, with comprehensive hands-on training and field experience.

You will perform routine inspections, test detectors and initiating devices, assist in installations, and develop skills in low‑voltage systems. High school diploma required; related certification or military fire protection experience preferred; travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or certification in low-voltage electricity or related field preferred.
• Military fire protection experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide protection for people, property, and the environment in all aspects of the role.
• Perform routine inspection and testing tasks according to OPS work instructions; test smoke detectors, initiating devices, inputs/outputs, audio‑visual components, and measure agent storage container weight.
• Assist in installation and commissioning tasks with supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.
