ECC is seeking a Fire Alarm System Engineer in Omaha, NE to develop accurate, competitive estimates for our Fire/Life Safety business. You will review drawings, specs, and customer requirements while collaborating with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to ensure code-compliant, properly scoped, and competitively priced solutions.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of experience in fire alarm systems and strong math, Excel, and drawing-reading skills.

Qualifikationen

• 2–3 years of experience in fire alarm systems, estimating, design, or project management.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/electrical drawings and specifications.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills for accurate material and labor estimates.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard business apps.
• Willingness to learn ECC estimating and project-management systems.

Aufgaben

• Review drawings and specifications to develop detailed cost estimates.
• Prepare complete scopes of work, inclusions, exclusions, and assumptions for proposals.
• Perform device counts and system takeoffs from construction drawings.
• Collaborate with Sales and Operations to ensure accurate, competitive proposals.
• Assist with estimate-to-operations handoff after project award.
