Job summary

Summit Fire Protection in Des Moines, IA seeks a Fire Alarm Estimator to grow new business through construction and services sales, including Fire Alarm & Security offerings. You will lead the sales process from initial contact to contract and build lasting relationships with customers.

Requires 1+ year Fire Alarm/Low Voltage sales, 3+ B2B experience, travel up to 75%, and a valid driver's license. High school diploma or GED required; associate/bachelor’s in business preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor's degree in business management preferred.
• 1+ years Fire Alarm / Low Voltage sales experience preferred.
• 3+ years B2B sales experience required.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Acquire sales leads for new work and sell Summit's services.
• Provide outside sales and inside sales.
• Solicit all building and construction types: new construction, renovations, additions, retrofits, and similar.
• Lead the sales process from initial contact to contract/Notice to Proceed.
• Generate new relationships and foster existing relationships among Customer base.
• Generate new proposals, follow-up on active proposals, and close sales.
• Communicate status of active proposals to Management.
• Attend meetings with customer and stakeholders; plan design and submittal.
• Represent Summit professionally to customers and industry.
• Assist Project Managers and Design Department with schedules and materials info.
• Assist Accounting with job setup, profitability monitoring, and billing.
• Use accounting software for tracking costs, Change Orders, etc.
• Support general marketing activities and promotion of the Company.
• Self-starter, organized, and detail oriented with strong follow-through.
