Job summary

Century Fire Protection LLC in Duluth, GA is seeking an experienced Estimator to ensure cost accuracy and competitiveness on commercial and industrial fire protection projects. You will analyze blueprints and prepare detailed estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in electrical/fire alarm estimating, field experience as electricians or low voltage technicians, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical/fire alarm estimating within construction.
• Field experience as electrician or low voltage technician is valued.

Responsibilities

• Project Analysis: Analyze blueprints, drawings, specs to understand scope and requirements.
• Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and overhead for fire protection projects.
• Collaboration: Work with sales, clients, project managers and team members to gather information and resolve issues.
• Procurement & Negotiation: Solicit quotes, review bids for completeness, negotiate pricing for cost effectiveness.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate estimates and supporting data; prepare bid proposals and presentations.
• Risk Management: Identify project risks and integrate into cost estimates with mitigation strategies.
• Industry Knowledge: Stay current with NEC, NFPA 72 and relevant regulations to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
