Job summary

Gusto is hiring a Product Manager for the Business Money – SMB Banking team in an innovative fintech context. You’ll own core SMB banking workstreams, drive end-to-end growth, and partner with Risk/Legal to deliver compliant, scalable banking features integrated with the Gusto platform.

You’ll shape the banking experience for small businesses by building for self-serve, automation, and deep customer insights, all within a hybrid work model across SF/Denver/NY offices.

Qualifications

• Bias toward action and ownership in ambiguous environments.
• 7+ years of product management, fintech or banking experience.
• Hands-on familiarity with business banking, deposits, and money movement.
• Experience running experiments and iterating based on data.
• Ability to work with Risk, Legal and Compliance teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver SMB banking workstreams: app/identity verification, linking, funding, payments, cards, servicing.
• Drive growth and adoption from acquisition to funded, active accounts with experimentation.
• Own business outcomes of your workstream and ship durable fintech systems.
• Leverage Gusto payroll ecosystem to build banking features unique to our position.
• Define how banking connects to the broader Gusto platform.
• Design self-serve flows to reduce support load and improve onboarding.
• Coordinate daily with Product, Eng, Design, Data, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Ops.
• Partner with external vendors (banks, processors) for integrated experiences.
• Understand customer cash flow and spending to craft compelling product narratives.
• Measure KPIs for account opening, funding, deposits; drive prioritization via data.
