Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking an experienced Vice President to join the CMG FIG FinTech team in New York, leading transaction execution and client engagement across complex financial matters. You’ll mentor junior bankers and coordinate cross-functional deal teams to deliver strategic advice and successful closings.

The role emphasizes leadership, deep financial modeling, and relationship management with FinTech clients, while advancing the firm’s FinTech franchise in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of investment banking experience with a Master’s degree, or 7+ years of investment banking or equivalent experience with a Bachelor’s degree
• History of outstanding academic and professional achievement
• Demonstrated experience executing complex transactions and managing multiple workstreams
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with clients, senior stakeholders and deal teams
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing and developing junior professionals
• Sound judgment, attention to detail and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong team orientation and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with team members across multiple groups and regions
• Previous FinTech, Technology or Software sector experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and strengthen relationships with FinTech clients, serving as a primary day-to-day contact and strategic advisor
• Lead the execution of complex transactions from origination through closing, including M&A, private placements, and debt and equity issuances
• Translate detailed financial, valuation and industry analyses into clear strategic recommendations tailored to client objectives
• Oversee the development of financial models, customized valuation analyses, transaction materials and client presentations
• Advise clients on industry trends, strategic alternatives, financing considerations and transaction structures
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams of bankers, attorneys, tax advisors and other internal and external stakeholders
• Oversee due diligence processes and contribute actively to the negotiation of transaction documentation
• Manage deal teams and workflows to ensure high-quality execution and timely delivery
• Mentor, train and develop Analysts and Associates while fostering a collaboration team environment
• Contribute to client coverage, business development and the continued growth of the FinTech franchise
