Job summary

Ripple is seeking a Software Engineer for the Financial Core team to build the infrastructure powering the custodian network. You will develop backend services and internal tools to automate settlement, funding, and liquidity management across accounts and banking partners.

You'll work across the stack with Java/Go/Python/TypeScript, React UI, and Postgres, deployed on Kubernetes with observability. A hybrid work model and competitive compensation are offered.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of software engineering experience shipping production systems.
• Backend experience in Java, Go, Python, or TypeScript; OO programming.
• Comfort across the stack: backend APIs + UI components.
• Strong relational DB, REST API, and distributed systems knowledge.
• Clear communicator with operations, finance, and product teams.
• Active use of AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) to write and review code.
• Experience with financial systems, payments, or automation workflows.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot, Postgres, and React.
• Experience building autonomous, agentic systems with minimal human intervention.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy backend services and internal tools for settlement and liquidity workflows.
• Collaborate with Product Ops and Product to automate manual processes.
• Contribute across stack: REST handlers, migrations, and React components.
• Participate in on-call rotations and maintain production reliability for real-time money movement.
• Write well-tested, reviewable code and engage in build discussions with the team.
