Job summary

CFGI is seeking an Automation Leader to head the engineering team responsible for turning client month-end close into repeatable, controlled, and increasingly automated pipelines. You will collaborate with client accounting teams and CFGI delivery teams to translate close requirements into reliable automation and scalable platform capabilities.

You will maintain disciplined architecture between CFGI's platform and client-specific automation, oversee NetSuite/QuickBooks Online implementations,

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional experience in consulting, advisory, or related services with progression into leadership.
• Experience building and leading a small engineering/automation team while managing multiple client deliveries.
• Experience designing and delivering SQL-based data transformation, data-pipeline, or financial-process automation solutions in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers building month-end automation pipelines from ERP extraction through transformation to journal entries.
• Manage relationships with client accounting teams and CFGI delivery teams to document close requirements.
• Maintain architecture boundaries between CFGI platform and client-specific automation, using Elixir for extraction/authentication/staging and Python for the transformation layer.
• Protect architectural integrity under delivery pressure, prioritizing maintainability and reusability.
• Drive progression from bespoke automation to configurable platform capabilities for future engagements.
• Establish controls over automation outputs, including tie-outs, reconciliations, and approval gates.
