Job summary

Pearson is hiring a Cloud and Hosting Services Analyst to collect and analyze data, generating cloud financial insights for an Infrastructure and Operations organization. You will produce reports, partner with global teams, model data for FinOps metrics, and forecast cloud costs to drive cost optimization decisions.

Ideal candidates have an IT/Analytics background, strong Excel skills, and experience with cloud platforms, data management, and automation concepts.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of financial principles and business analytics.
• Ability to analyze and produce meaningful insights from large datasets.
• Understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints.
• Experience with advanced Excel functions.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, IBMCloud, etc.

Responsibilities

• Produce insightful reports for multi-cloud platforms for Management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to drive data insights.
• Support FinOps with goals/KPIs, data retrieval and modeling.
• Map data processes to provide a single source of data.
• Forecast cloud hosting costs and provide cost optimization recommendations.
• Create and maintain month-end and quarter-end reports.
