Job summary

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with ANSYS Workbench is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate standards and process gaps for structural analysis of electric drive designs (internship).
• Develop new processes and methods for structural analysis.

Job Purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Intern in our Summer Internship Program. The FEA Intern will support development of analysis processes and standards, perform analysis tasks, and summarize results. This will involve a variety of applications, such as use of a general Finite Elements code, analysis, research, and documentation.

What We Are Looking For

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or be a graduate from an accredited college GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or B average, upon initial hire date
• Undergraduate student, Junior/Senior level, majoring in Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials Engineering preferred
• Desire to work in the automotive industry
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively
• Analytical, technical, and statistical skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Works under general supervision (self-motivated)
• Good knowledge base of engineering theories

Salary

Salary Range $17.00 - $28.65 / hour
