BorgWarner is seeking a Finite Element Analysis Intern for its Summer Internship Program in Kokomo, Indiana. You will support development of analysis processes and standards, perform analysis tasks, and summarize results using ANSYS and other tools.

Ideal candidates are engineering juniors/seniors with a 3.0 GPA, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in automotive engineering. This on-site internship emphasizes collaboration and practical problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student, Junior/Senior level, majoring in Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials Engineering.
• GPA 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or B average upon hire date.
• Desire to work in the automotive industry.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with ANSYS Workbench is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Investigate standards and process gaps for structural analysis of electric drive designs (internship).
• Develop new processes and methods for structural analysis.
• Document processes and work instructions in a standard format.
• Use FEA and other software tools to analyze components.
• Investigate advanced features of existing software tools to improve analysis processes.
