Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a Finishing Technician for our Indiana operations. The role focuses on finishing and shipping tasks, including cleaning, inspecting, painting prep, and shipment readiness, with responsibilities spanning the use of the Plex system and precise part handling.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, ability to stand for long periods, and the capacity to lift up to 35 lbs. Training will occur on 1st shift before moving to hired shift.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Plex system to determine product and procedure accuracy.
• Dip/power pieces to ensure part is free from dirt and chips.
• Dip parts into rust remover.
• Oil parts prior to packaging.
• Final inspection of parts.
• Band work pieces and prepare for shipping.
