Job summary

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is seeking a Finishing Supervisor for the 2nd shift at our Chatsworth, GA plant. You will lead a shift of 15-20 associates, drive safety, quality, and housekeeping while maintaining line specs and coordinating with the Finishing Department Manager.

This hands-on leadership role requires a 24/7 mindset and willingness to work overtime as needed. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of leadership experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to train and coach

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of Leadership experience.
• Availability to work extended schedule based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift of 15-20 associates.
• Ensure compliance with SAFE and plant safety rules.
• Maintain quality on shift and improve quality performance.
• Ensure operation runs to spec (line speed, moisture, width, length, carpet exit temperature).
• Coordinate quality control testing and processing of trial materials.
• Identify training opportunities for the department.
• Complete Shaw Quality System (SQS) training for associates.
• Coordinate shift coverage during absences (vacation, FMLA).
• Coach and hold associates accountable.
• Identify maintenance opportunities and complete work orders.
