Job summary

Custom Profile, located in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a Finishing Associate to perform finishing tasks, inspect parts for surface quality and dimensions, and follow standard work to ensure production efficiency and safety. The role supports Zero Defects and 100% On-Time Delivery goals under the Finishing Supervisor.

Responsibilities include paperwork, material changeovers, and maintaining a clean, organized work area following 5S standards, with occasional local travel and the ability to lift

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Complete finishing tasks as assigned by lead or supervisor.
• Inspect parts for surface quality, color, profile appearance and dimensions; relay quality issues.
• Complete finishing paperwork in a timely manner during the shift.
• Coordinate with material handlers on materials and changeovers.
• Follow 5S and housekeeping standards to maintain a clean, organized area and label scrap properly.
