Job summary

Smart Resources Group is seeking a detail-oriented Finishing Department Associate to trim, inspect, and prepare rubber and polyurethane products for final completion. You will use precision cutting tools, operate trimming machinery, and ensure output meets quality standards.

Responsibilities include reviewing production orders, organizing materials for the next stage, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and following written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to use precision cutting tools safely and accurately.
• Ability to follow written instructions, work orders, and production schedules.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to identify and sort materials correctly.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, trimming, finishing, or quality inspection is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Use an X-Acto knife to carefully trim excess material from gaskets, seals, and molded rubber or polyurethane products.
• Operate trimming machines as needed to finish products according to specifications.
• Inspect finished parts for imperfections and ensure products meet quality requirements.
• Review production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine which items need to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Sort, organize, and prepare materials and finished products for the next stage of production or shipment.
• Follow written and verbal instructions to ensure accuracy and productivity.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Handle products carefully to prevent damage and maintain consistent quality.
