Resource Label Group in Commack, NY is seeking a Finishing Operator to set up and operate label inspector machines and slit printed materials into specified widths. You will work under the Production Manager to ensure efficient finishing operations.

Responsibilities include reading job specs, selecting dies and cores, inspecting quality, assisting in packaging, and maintaining housekeeping standards. Must lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred (printing/packaging helpful).
• Ability to read safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math and read rulers/measurement devices.
• Must stand/walk regularly and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Provide effective leadership to the plant team, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Recruit, train, and develop a skilled workforce with safe working conditions.
• Read job specs and select dies, cores, and rewind methods per jacket.
• Inspect products for quality and ensure packaging/shipment specs are met.
• Operate and maintain finishing machines; perform minor maintenance.
• Complete paperwork and package finished goods for shipment; keep areas organized.
