Job summary

Mill Rock Packaging is hiring a Finishing Operator I in Aurora, Colorado to support the Cartoner Department. You will assist the Operator, prep for product runs, and help ensure smooth flow through the machine.

The role requires a team mindset, a positive, proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and the endurance to stand for long shifts. Standard schedule is 4 AM–2 PM with occasional overtime; benefits include PTO, 401K, disability options, life insurance, and more.

Responsibilities

• Feed product into the folder gluer machine.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and empty waste bins.
• Strip excess material from product per job ticket information.
• Read job ticket to ensure correct processing.
• Assemble and store shipping containers.
• Gather and pack product per job specifications.
• Make cartons for packing product.

How you’ll make an impact:

MRP is searching for a passionate and agile Finishing Operator I who consider themselves problem-solvers and excited by challenges and the opportunity to build something great with us. As Finishing Operator I in the Cartoner Department, you will be responsible for assisting the Operator in preparing for the product run and ensuring there are no gaps in product running through the machine.

Physical requirements and work environment:

Physical Demands

• Standing/Walking:Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to8–12hours per shift).
• Lifting/Carrying:Regularly lift, push, pull or move materials up to50lbs.
• Repetitive Motions:Frequent use of hands and arms for machine operation and material handling.
• Visual/Manual Requirements:Ability to read gauges, measure materials, and perform quality checks.

Environmental Conditions

• Noise Level:Exposure to moderate to high noise levels; hearing protection provided.
• Safety Gear:Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and gloves.
• Other Factors:Occasional exposure to dust, ink, or chemicals used in production.

Schedule & Work Hours

Full-time position; standard schedule is 4AM to 2PM, Monday-Thursday, with occasional overtime as needed.
