Job summary

Mill Rock Packaging seeks a Finishing Operator I in the Cartoner Department to support the operator and ensure smooth production runs. You will feed product into the folder gluer, keep the work area clean, and verify job tickets for correct processing.

This full-time role requires basic computer skills, endurance to stand long shifts, and a teamwork mindset. Location is Aurora, CO with a day shift and a safety-first culture.

Responsibilities

  • Feed product into the folder gluer machine.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area and empty waste bins.
  • Strip excess material from product (per job ticket).
  • Read job ticket to ensure correct processing.
  • Assemble and store shipping containers.
  • Gather and pack product per job specifications.

How you'll make an impact

MRP is searching for a passionate and agile Finishing Operator I who consider themselves problem-solvers and excited by challenges and the opportunity to build something great with us. As Finishing Operator I in the Cartoner Department, you will be responsible for assisting the Operator in preparing for the product run and ensuring there are no gaps in product running through the machine.

What will you do in this role?


  • Feed product into the folder gluer machine.

The physical requirements and work environment

Physical Demands


  • Standing/Walking:Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–12 hours per shift).

  • Lifting/Carrying:Regularly lift, push, pull or move materials up to 50 lbs.

  • Repetitive Motions:Frequent use of hands and arms for machine operation and material handling.

  • Visual/Manual Requirements:Ability to read gauges, measure materials, and perform quality checks.



Environmental Conditions


  • Noise Level:Exposure to moderate to high noise levels; hearing protection provided.

  • Safety Gear:Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and gloves.

  • Other Factors:Occasional exposure to dust, ink, or chemicals used in production.



Schedule & Work Hours


  • Full-time position; standard schedule is 4AM to 2PM, Monday-Thursday, with occasional overtime as needed.
