Job summary

Mill Rock Packaging is seeking a Folder/Gluer Operator to join their Finishing Department in Aurora, Colorado. The successful applicant will set up and operate folder/gluer machines to produce high-quality folding cartons in accordance with customer specifications.

The role offers an hourly pay range of $22–$30, with benefits such as paid time off, 401K, and bonuses after 90 days and 6 months of employment.

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and agile Folder/Gluer Operator to join our Finishing Department. The successful candidate will set up and operate folder/gluer machines to produce high‑quality folding cartons in accordance with customer specifications, while maintaining equipment, tracking schedules, and coordinating with QA and management.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand work instructions in the job ticket.
• Follow the production schedule.
• Locate stock, load and stack materials to support machine efficiency.
• Keep the machine and surrounding area clean and free of debris.
• Perform weekly/monthly TPM tasks and report any broken or worn parts to lead/managers.
• Operate the folder/gluer machine to produce cartons that meet Mill Rock’s quality specifications.
• Set up the machine and run initial quantities to demonstrate capability.
• Perform quality checks and report non‑conforming cartons to the Finishing Manager.
• Meet monthly and quarterly efficiency goals by exceeding established production and quality standards.

Basic Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and 3–5 years of experience with folding equipment.
• Experience in folding carton or SFL carton industry.
• Experience with any of the following machines: Bobst Expertfold, Bobst Fuego, American International Signature, Alpina, Domino.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for 8–12 hours per shift.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent use of hands and arms for machine operation.
• Read gauges, measure materials and perform quality checks.

Schedule & Work Hours

• Full‑time. Standard schedule: 1st shift (4:00 AM–2:00 PM) or 2nd shift (2:00 PM–12:00 AM), Monday through Thursday, with occasional overtime.
