Job summary

FS Builder Resources- Leedo Cabinets Division in East Bernard, Texas, is seeking an experienced Finishing Manager to lead cabinet finishing operations, focusing on paints, stains, and clear coats with a hands-on leadership style.

You will develop SOPs, optimize hang-line and flat-line workflows, drive safety, quality, productivity, and cost control, and coach a 20–50 person production team while coordinating with Plant Leadership, Maintenance, and Quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cabinet/wood finishing leadership.
• Experience with paints, stains and clear coats.
• Hands-on leadership in hang-line and flat-line finishing operations.

Join Our Team! FS Builder Resources- Leedo Cabinets Division is seeking an experienced Finishing Manager to lead finishing operations within our cabinet manufacturing facility. This position is ideal for a hands‑on leader with extensive expertise in paints, stains, and clear‑coat applications for cabinet components, along with a passion for quality, process improvement, and team development. Only apply if you have 5 plus years of experience within a finishing leadership role. Preferably in the cabinet or wood working industry.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Lead all finishing department operations, including paint, stain, and clear‑coat processes.
• Develop, implement, and sustain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that promote consistency, efficiency, and quality.
• Manage hang‑line and flat‑line finishing systems and optimize throughput and performance.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, cost control, and delivery performance.
• Lead, coach, and develop production teams while fostering accountability and engagement.
• Ensure product quality standards are consistently achieved and maintained .
• Coordinate production schedules, changeovers, staffing, training, and workflow priorities.
• Maintain strong partnerships with Plant Leadership, Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cabinet, woodworking, paint, or wood finishing experience.
• Strong knowledge of paints, stains, clear coats, application methods, and finishing systems.
• Hands‑on experience with hang‑line and flat‑line finishing operations.
• Demonstrated success developing and implementing SOPs and standardized processes.
• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience leading teams of 20-50 employees.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles preferred.
• Strong communication , problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required
