Job summary

Precision Cabinets is seeking an experienced Finishing Supervisor to lead our finishing department in Maryland. This hands-on leader will oversee daily production, maintain quality standards, coach team members, and ensure a safe, organized work environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of supervisory experience in cabinet manufacturing, deep knowledge of finishing processes, and the ability to drive continuous improvement while meeting schedules and customer specifications.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in cabinet manufacturing, woodworking, millwork, furniture manufacturing, or a similar production environment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of finishing techniques, materials, equipment, quality standards, and manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing production teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience balancing production schedules while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing safety practices and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the daily operations of the finishing department to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and delivery commitments are consistently achieved.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop finishing team members by providing training, performance feedback, and ongoing support.
  • Ensure all finishing processes are completed according to company quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Monitor workflow, staffing, and production priorities to maximize efficiency while minimizing waste and rework.
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to resolve production issues and improve overall operations.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing company safety policies, PPE requirements, and OSHA regulations.
  • Inspect finished products and proactively address quality concerns before cabinets move to the next stage of production.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, and employee engagement.
  • Maintain accurate production records, schedules, and departmental documentation.
  • Perform additional leadership responsibilities as assigned.

Key Objectives

  • Communicate clearly in English to perform job-related tasks, including following safety procedures, reviewing production documentation, and effectively leading team members.
  • This position involves the use of safety equipment, including respirators or protective masks. To ensure proper fit and compliance with safety standards, facial hair may need to be trimmed or maintained within required guidelines.

The company intends to offer the selected candidate a base pay range of $21.50-$25.00 per hour. Actual offers will be based on a variety of factors, including experience. Swing Shift includes a 10% Shift Differential.
