• Ensure all finish applications meet established quality standards.
• Monitor and record operational control parameters on daily production checklists.
• Measure, track, and record material usage accurately.
• Support the Hang Line Lead with daily cleanup and organization of the finishing area.
• Follow all safety, material handling, environmental, and quality procedures.
• Inspect finished products for appearance and quality compliance.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily production goals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Finish Supervisor.

Position Summary

The Sprayer Operator is responsible for applying stain, basecoat, and topcoat finishes to cabinet components using hand-spraying techniques. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, consistency, and production efficiency while adhering to all safety, environmental, and quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works well in a team environment, and understands the importance of maintaining high-quality finishing standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply stain, basecoat, and topcoat finish materials to cabinet parts according to production schedules
• Ensure all finish applications meet established quality standards
• Monitor and record operational control parameters on daily production checklists
• Measure, track, and record material usage accurately
• Support the Hang Line Lead with daily cleanup and organization of the finishing area
• Follow all safety, material handling, environmental, and quality procedures
• Inspect finished products for appearance and quality compliance

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 1 to 3 years of experience operating spray equipment and applying industrial finishes
• Experience in wood products, cabinetry, furniture manufacturing, or related finishing environments
• Knowledge of stain, paint, and coating application techniques

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and finishing materials
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including:
  • Safety glasses
  • Hearing protection
  • Respirators, as required
• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 30 pounds
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality standards
