Job summary

Herrman Lumber is hiring a Cabinet Painter to handle daily cabinet shop tasks, including painting, prepping, finishing cabinets and shelving units, building units, and pulling orders. This role requires strong cabinet finishing techniques, including sanding, priming, staining, and spraying finishes or paints.

Candidates should have knowledge of measurement, experience with power tools, and familiarity with painting equipment and materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• 1-3 years cabinet finishing experience preferred.
• 1-3 years power tools experience preferred.
• 1-3 years painting equipment experience preferred.
• Class E driver's license or willingness to obtain one is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand tools, painting equipment, and woodworking machinery.
• Read and interpret designs and blueprints.
• Construct and assemble cabinets and shelving.
• Sand, prime, stain, and paint cabinets to finish standards.

A valid Class E driver's license or willingness to obtain one is required.

What will I do?

• Painting, prepping, finishing cabinets and shelving units, building units, and pulling orders.

Position Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• 1-3 years of previous experience with cabinet finishing techniques and measurement skills is preferred.
• 1-3 years of previous experience using power tools is preferred.
• 1-3 years of previous experience with painting equipment and materials is preferred.
• A Class E driver's license or willingness to obtain one is required.
• Must be able to raise and move up to 50 pounds of equipment, tools, supplies, and/or other items from a lower to a higher position or horizontally from position to position.
