Job summary

FM Industries in Fremont, CA is seeking a Finisher 3 to deburr, sand, and clean parts across diverse materials with minimal direction. The role supports the development of new processes and works on complex parts using a range of finishing tools.

Day shifts run Monday through Friday, with swing and weekend options based on production needs. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and 5–7 years of finishing experience, along with strong knowledge of abrasive progression to achieve

• Count quantities, label parts, follow shop paper procedures and handle non-conformance activities.

Days: Mon-Fri 6:00am to 2:30pm; Swing: Mon-Fri 2:00pm to 10:30pm; Weekends: Fri-Sun 8am to 8pm

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

As a Finisher 3, you will deburr, sand and clean parts on the most complex proven, new parts as well as assist in the development of new processes on a various material such as aluminum, steel, plastic, and copper with little or no direction from area Lead or Supervisor.

• Responsible for utilizing shop paper procedure including updates, signatures and stamps, counting quantities, labeling and non-conformance related activities
• Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications
• Operate a variety of pneumatic or electric power finishing tools such but not limited to orbital sander, DA sander, flappers and die grinders.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Previous finishing experience of five to seven years preferred
• Extensive knowledge of abrasive(s) progression required to achieve specific surface finishes
