Job summary

FM Industries in Livermore, CA is seeking a Finisher 1 to deburr, sand and clean parts on repeat or simple-to-intermediate components. Work under the area Lead or Supervisor.

You will handle aluminum, steel, plastic, and copper parts with attention to quality and consistency. Responsibilities include following shop paper procedures, ensuring accurate routing with work orders, and operating power finishing tools such as orbital sanders and die grinders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Up to two years finishing experience preferred.

• Follow shop paper procedures with updates, signatures and stamps.
• Ensure accurate routing accompanies all work orders.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for deburring, sanding and cleaning parts on repeat or proven part(s) with simple to intermediate complexity on a various material such as aluminum, steel, plastic, and copper with direction from area Lead or Supervisor.

• Responsible for utilizing shop paper procedure including updates, signatures, and stamps, counting quantities, labeling and non-conformance related activities
• Ensure an accurate router accompanies all work orders
• Operate a variety of pneumatic or electric power finishing tools such but not limited to orbital sander, DA Sander, flappers and die grinders

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Previous finishing experience up to two years
