Job summary

Rusin Concrete in Colorado Springs is seeking an experienced Form Setter/Finisher to join our dedicated crew. You will work with your hands, help build great communities, and contribute to high-quality concrete foundations that stand the test of time.

The role requires one year of concrete experience, ability to tie rebar, set forms, and finish concrete using hand tools. Expect regular hours with some travel and a safety-focused team environment with benefits.

Qualifications

• One year of concrete experience.
• Minimum one year general construction experience preferred.
• Must be able to tie rebar/steel, build concrete forms and mix/pour/finish concrete.
• Ability to use all types of hand tools.
• Ability to create effective working relationships with employees and the general public.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

FINISHER

• Taking ownership of Rusin's "Core Values."
• Working with a team!
• Complying with safety standards and aware of all surroundings.
• Precisely setting formwork for pours.
• Thoroughly compacting base material.
• Precisely performing fine grading of base material.
• Detailing the fabrication and installation of reinforcing steel.
• Properly placing concrete inside of formwork.
• Screeding/striking-off of placed concrete.
• High-quality floating and handwork that is flat and smooth, and free of any blemishes or trowel marks!
• Being attentive to detail when hand finishing around drains, penetrations through slab, at edges, and around forms
• Precision layout, proper spacing, and installation of hand-tooled, or saw-cut control joints

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• May be expected to travel out of town to work on projects.
• May usually work irregular hours and often work early mornings, weekends, shift work and possibly be on call. Generally, work longer hours in summer.
• Work in all weather conditions such as noisy, wet, cold, hot, dirty, windy and dusty environments.
