Job summary

A concrete construction company in Colorado Springs is seeking an experienced Form Setter/Carpenter. In this role, you will work collaboratively to ensure high-quality concrete projects, including setting formwork and finishing concrete. Candidates should have at least one year of concrete experience and the ability to work in various weather conditions. Competitive hourly rate and benefits are offered.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

FINISHER

• Taking ownership of Rusin’s “Core Values.”
• Working with a team!
• Complying with safety standards and aware of all surroundings.
• Precisely setting formwork for pours.
• Thoroughly compacting base material.
• Precisely performing fine grading of base material.
• Detailing the fabrication and installation of reinforcing steel.
• Properly placing concrete inside of formwork.
• Screeding/striking-off of placed concrete.
• High-quality floating and handwork that is flat and smooth, and free of any blemishes or trowel marks!
• Being attentive to detail when hand finishing around drains, penetrations through slab, at edges, and around forms
• Precision layout, proper spacing, and installation of hand-tooled, or saw-cut control joints

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR ORGANIZATION

• One year of concrete experience.
• Minimum one (1) year general construction experience is preferred.
• Must be able to tie rebar/steel, build concrete forms and mix/pour/finish concrete.
• Ability to use all types of hand tools.
• Ability to create effective working relationships with employees and the general public.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• May be expected to travel out of town to work on projects.
• May usually work irregular hours and often work early mornings, weekends, shift work and possibly be on call. Generally, work longer hours in summer.
• Work in all weather conditions such as noisy, wet, cold, hot, dirty, windy and dusty environments.

WHAT OUR ORGANIZATION IS PROVIDING

• Hourly Range: $23 - $31 DOE

• Sick Leave – Max 6 days (48 hours) per year
