Job summary

ofi North America (Olam Food Ingredients) in Sylvester, GA is seeking a Night Shift Forklift Operator to manage finished product lots, load trucks, and operate the scale. Position Responsibilities
  • Keep an accurate count and weight on finished product lots.
  • Ensure the correct tags are used on each lot.
  • Load trucks.
  • Operate the scale used to determine the correct weight for each tote.
  • Instruct the personnel in your area in proper methods of work performance.
  • Operate forklift as needed.
  • Check all equipment to ensure it is operated properly and maintained.
  • All employees are directly responsible for the quality of OEN products. Each employee must perform their job function in accordance to the GMP rules and the Sanitation, Safety and HACCP Programs.
  • Follow safe work practices and comply with all company, federal and state rules and regulations which apply to the job, including but not limited to, Right to Know, emergency evacuation, electrical safety, confined space, bloodborne pathogens and lockout/tagout.
  • Keep the Shift Superintendent informed of all problems.
  • Execute special projects and other job-related activities as directed.
  • Sanitation:
    • Keep the working area clean, neat and in an organized manner.
    • Notify Plant Management of any issues with dirtiness in the facility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
  • GED or High School Diploma Preferred
  • 1- 5 Years forklift experience required.
  • Must be able to work night shift.
