About This RoleJoin a busy construction crew in Nashville as a skilled Carpenter focused on high-level millwork, casework and ornamental metalwork. You'll install architectural woodwork, plastic laminate, metal casework, fume hoods, doors, frames, hardware and other specialties on commercial projects. Pay up to $30/hr based on experience. This role requires hands-on installers who read blueprints, preplan tools and materials for safe, efficient installs, and work with minimal supervision. You must supply your personal tools, follow the site safety program, report hazards and help keep the jobsite clean and productive.What You'll DoInstall architectural woodwork, plastic laminate (PL), metal casework, fume hoods, doors, frames, hardware and miscellaneous specialties on commercial jobs.Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings and specifications to lay out work and confirm dimensions.Preplan tools, materials and installation methods for the fastest, safest result; make field adjustments as needed.Measure, cut, fit, fasten and finish millwork and casework to established tolerances and quality standards.Follow the site safety program: report hazards, use Stop Work Authority, report incidents immediately and keep the work area clean.Work independently on assigned tasks, coordinate with other trades, and maintain personal tools and equipment.What We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or GED and 3-5 years' experience as a finished carpenter with casework/millwork experience.Proven experience with architectural millwork, plastic laminate, metal casework and cabinet/countertop installation.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings and basic specs.Supply and maintain your own hand and power tools; reliable transportation to job sites.Capable of working with minimal supervision and collaborating with other trades on-site.Physically able to climb ladders/scaffolds, stoop/kneel/crouch, see with or without correction and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED (required)3-5 years finished carpentry with millwork/casework experience (preferred)OSHA 10 (preferred) or comparable site safety trainingValid driver's license and reliable transportationUnion membership where applicableAbility to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checkWhat We OfferPay up to $30/hr, based on experience; overtime available.Steady commercial project work in the Nashville area.Paid safety training and participation in an active site safety program.Clear expectations: supply tools, read drawings, and work independently - consistent job scope.Opportunities for skill growth and advancement on larger millwork projects.Ready to Apply?Create your Skillit profile and let Sam, your AI assistant, connect you with top contractors.Apply NowNot Another Job BoardSkillit connects craft workers directly with contractors hiring for your trade.
