Job summary

Building Ventures seeks a skilled Carpenter in Nashville focused on high-level millwork and ornamental metalwork. You will install architectural woodwork, plastic laminate and metal casework on commercial projects while reading blueprints and preplanning tools for efficient installs.

Employee will work with minimal supervision, maintain tools, and follow the site safety program. Overtime may apply, and upskilling on larger millwork projects is possible.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years finished carpentry with millwork/casework experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings or specs.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings and specifications to lay out work and confirm dimensions.
• Preplan tools, materials and installation methods for fastest, safest result; adjust as needed.
• Measure, cut, fit, fasten and finish millwork and casework to tolerances and standards.
• Follow site safety program, report hazards and maintain a clean work area.
• Work independently, coordinate with other trades and manage personal tools.
