Qualifications

• Ability to read sketches, drawings, plans or specifications.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and regularly lift at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Select materials and structural units, such as lumber, doors, cabinets and paneling.
• Shape or cut materials to measurements using hand tools or power saws.
• Examine blueprints to determine dimensions of structures.
• Layout floor plan and cabinet work using rule, framing square and calipers.
• Install structures, fixtures, windows, doors, trim; build stairs, countertops and floors.
• Hang and finish drywall and accessories; follow safety rules.
