Job summary

Dowbuilt is seeking an Apprentice Carpenter to support job sites with basic carpentry, safety, and organization. You will assist carpenters and subtrades under the direction of the site foreman and superintendent, gaining skills from framing to finish and interpreting construction drawings.

The role requires 1–2 years of residential carpentry experience, a valid driver’s license, and safety training. You’ll be part of high-end residential builds, with local travel and opportunities to grow your

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of carpentry experience (residential preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; occasional driving of a company vehicle may be required.
• Must complete or already have acquired the appropriate safety training commensurate with the position and location.

Responsibilities

• Perform light carpentry and assist with framing, finish carpentry, site protection as opportunities arise.
• Ask questions to gain understanding of proper use of tools and equipment.
• Work with job leads who use builder’s level for layout and dimensional control.
• Understand framing layout and rough framing of walls, floors and roof systems; calculate roof rafters and frame stairs, windows and doors.
• Identify unsafe practices and report to Foreman or Superintendent.
• Invest in personal tools per the required tool list in this description.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized job site and secure the site daily.
• Travel locally as needed.
