Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of skilled carpentry work in the construction, installation, erection, maintenance, fabrication, and repair of wooden structures and fixtures, including architectural woodwork, millwork, trim, concrete forms, metal and wood framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, and more.
• Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other materials according to measurements.
• Review blueprints or specifications to determine work requirements.
• Complete assigned carpentry tasks with quality workmanship.
• Operate a variety of power and manual tools and equipment used in skilled carpentry.
• Perform heavy physical labor.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Maintain a constant state of alertness and work safely.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and foremen.
• Apply knowledge of carpentry and construction techniques and procedures.
• On-the-job training is offered.
• This position is safety-sensitive.
