Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in a related area preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of carpentry practices and safety.

• Skill in carpentry tools and woodworking equipment.
• Ability to work from sketches, drawings, plans or specs.
• Stand for long periods and regularly lift at least 50 pounds.
• Work with little to no supervision.
• General understanding of construction practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Select materials and structural units (lumber, doors, cabinets).
• Shape or cut materials to measurements using hand/power tools.
• Examine blueprints to determine dimensions.
• Layout floor plan and cabinet work; determine fabrication sequence.
• Install structures, fixtures, doors, trim; build stairs, countertops, floors.
• Hang and finish drywall and accessories.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean work environment.
• Comply with company reporting methods and safety training.
