Qualifications

• Fine dining experience required.
• Career path towards Sous Chef Certification or equivalent.
• Proven leadership and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Executive Chef in hiring, coaching, and performance management for culinary operations
• Directly supervise all culinary staff
• Assist in managing and training culinary and dining personnel
• Supervise staff regarding product quality, portions, costs, scheduling, and staffing
• Ensure quality of food through tasting and plate presentation
• Assist with menu planning, development, and ordering of supplies
• Prepare and cook meals to order
• Manage culinary department in Executive Chef's absence
• Assist cooks as needed
• Step in during emergencies or rush periods
• Aim for 100% resident satisfaction through presentation and taste
• Circulate dining rooms during meals for resident feedback
• Support mission and values of Senior Village Management
