Job summary

Cutalongat Tributer Resort in Mineral, Virginia is seeking a friendly, efficient server to deliver a high-quality dining experience. You will take orders accurately, ensure guest satisfaction, and collaborate with kitchen and bar staff for seamless service.

The position requires excellent interpersonal skills, basic math for payments, and a flexible weekend/holiday schedule. Training provided for those new to the role; wine knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior server experience preferred; training provided.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and memory for orders.
• Basic math for handling payments.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift trays up to 25lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a warm, welcoming manner.
• Present menus, explain specials, and answer questions.
• Take food and beverage orders and enter into the POS.
• Serve courses promptly with high presentation standards.
• Monitor guests and respond to requests quickly.
• Clear and reset tables between courses and after departures.
• Maintain dining/service area cleanliness and organization.
• Follow health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff for seamless service.
• Process bills and handle payments accurately; upsell when appropriate.
